Friendships are based on common interests. But, how about when it comes to being sexually permissive? Do birds of a feather flock together?
It makes perfect sense that people who are more restrained in their sexual behavior prefer friends who are also more reserved. After all, who would want to be friends with someone who is willing to hop into bed with everyone they know?
But, do sexually permissive people want to be friends with other sexually permissive individuals?
Not necessarily.
New research shows that women, who are sexually permissive, do not necessarily want to be friends with other sexually permissive women. Sexually permissive women look down on people, who are like themselves.
Men, on the other hand, were a little more lenient. Sexually permissive men were less judgmental of their sexually permissive friends.
It appears that sexually permissive men tolerate similar behavior from their friends more than women are willing to do.
