My boyfriend and I have separated . We had trust issues and lots of miscommunication I am desperate to try and work it out and he wants to leave . Is there any way we can make it or should I just say goodbye for ever? We have been together for 4 years and if all that he says is true about him loving me and thinking I'm beautiful etc why can't he just see I want to make it work with him ? Why say any of that stuff is it just mind games and an easier way to say goodbye ? He dumped me by email this morning I had waited 5 days for an answer to getting back together shall I just accept it's over for good ?Any advice will be so appreciated .

Yes move on accept things are over and don't feel so sad . These times will pass and healing will take place. It could be a while before you start to heal within your self but acceptance is a main part of the healing process.

Look at some of these other posts there are people with so much more lost I don't mean to sound heartless but think yourself lucky there are no children, I assume there are no joint assets ( if there are seize and protect) and there is nothing that can't be undone . I know it feels as part of you has died mourn it respect it and move on sweetie life is far too short for this kind of self indulgent wailing and crying .

Yes he was letting you down gently sometimes I think that's worse because the cold hard truth is he doesn't want you anymore and he should have at least called you to say so.

Some men haven't got the B**** for direct talking and it looks like he's taken the easy way out .

Be true to yourself and have a little RESPECT even if he doesn't !

He phoned and it was wierd because he said he was going to break up with me then he wrote but I am availible on the phone at the end of his email. Then I called yesterday leaving pathetic and pitiful messages only to have him block each one out with chilling complacency. Then he called today and because I was so exhausted trying to work things out yesterday after waiting 5 gruesome days to see if we could save this relationship I just felt numb, empty and unfazed by his cruelty.

Guess it wasn't really love but hurt pride for me after all.
I bet I'll feel different in the cold light of day but the jazz and the wine is doing it's thing. Thanks to everyone who cared enough to post . My BF did that and then he rang like yours did and the thing is you waste so much energy trying to make it right for him, your'e wracked with guilt and pain you completely lose sight of you.

We tried for a while but he always used it against me and then I realised it was time fro a fresh start. You need a little conifdence and a whole lotta fait and self belief.
This could be the best thing that ever happened to you take a negative and try and change it to something positive .

I am single now and enjoying time alone it's okay not to be in a relationship sometimes you can grown from pain.
