I just found out two days ago that my Mother's husband of forty years has gone to his grave with a lie. He told my mother that my daughter told him off in our home and no one else was around. It was suppose to have happened in my home in my kitchen. My daughter was accused of telling this man; "your are stupid, you don't know anything and you never have known anything." My mother believes what her husband of forty years has told her. My daughter if very articulate and the statement does not even sound like something she would say. I have no idea what to think, but I do believe my daughter when she says to me "this never happened." How do I deal with my mother who believes it did happen?
