My mom is a compulsive liar. She lies about everything large and small. She even goes as far as to lie about my sisters and I and her other family in a negative way to make herself look better. Just recently she took us all out to breakfast and then later gave her husband a sob story about how no one even thanked her and how awful we are. We of course all had said thank you over and over! She talks to me and lies about other members of my family and mostly she lies to her husband about all of us and makes us look horrible. Since they have not been married long he doesnt know the truth and thinks we are just ungrateful and mean to her. She saids she had asked her family to come to her house for a party and no one would come and later I found out she never asked anyone. She then tells my extended family that none of us would come to their get togethers and its because she never tells us about them. She just goes to them and says were are horrible because we never go to any family gatherings. She smokes and lies about it. I have caught her with a cigarette and she denied it. She lies about her past. She cheated on my father and they got divorced and she tells everyone new that he cheated on her and what a horrible person he is. She will even lie about something I did to someone else when I am right there and then look at me and say "remember that"? If you try to confront her she freaks out and you cant get any words in. I wonder how much of it she knows she is lying and how much is stuff she has lied about so much she actually believes. She is almost 50...is she going to be like this forever?
