So, I'm not sure what to do and I thought you could offer some advice. Sorry if this is a long post...
I have been with my partner for 6 years. We live in different towns about 40 miles from each other so our only time together is weekends and once in a while during a weeknight for a special occasion. He moved to this town 2 and a half years into our relationship - and it's funny, but we have had a better relationship since the move. We are "young", in our mind 20's, but we have already talked about marriage - just waiting for certain things to settle down.
Recently, he got back in contact with an old friend through myspace. he told me about this person right away and asked if I was alright with him being friends with this person. After a few weeks of them talking online, it came to be that this person actually lived in the same town as him. Then he began asking if I would mind him having lunch with her since it had been years since they'd seen each other. The whole time, he was unfront about it with me.
I started getting a funny feeling, so I looked at his account online - now I know I was being untrusting at this point, but I couldn't shake the feeling I had. I came to find out that he had gone to the beach with her and not told me about it. I confronted him - I asked if had seen her or if there was anything going on. He told me nothing is going on and that he wanted to be with me and we are going to get married someday and blah blah blah...
Then I told him that I knew he had seen her because I saw the pictures. He was very sorry for lying, but he didn't want to upset me more since I was already upset about this girl to begin with.
Now about a month has gone by since that incident and I know he still talks to her - I believe on the phone as well as online. 2 nights ago, he called and asked if I minded if he go out to eat with her because she had gotten a baby sitter (yes, she has a little kid). I said sure because, really, what am I gonna do? Both of us only have a few friends and it's rough when there is no one to talk to .. no human contact during the week when we are apart.
Anyway, I am feeling suspicious again - I have looked at emails and things. There are little flirty comments, but nothing crazy. Anytime I have asked questions about her or their relationship, I have been assured that they are only friends and that he loves me. I just can't get rid of the bad feeling I have.
