99% of the problems here would be eliminated if people would simply communicate openly and honestly with each other.

Be conscious of the impact your actions have on one another and truthfully communicate about what you think and how you feel. It's OK if they differ.

Truth is the basis for trust which is the basis for peace.

It may seem radically responsible but just tell the truth to one another. At this point, what have you got to lose?
