Are there any success stories of relationships bouncing back, even thriving, after deception??

I'm not saying after actual cheating, but a (big) lie...

I feel like the world is telling me that people can't change and that there's no really getting past this.

I've decided to give my partner another chance after being caught in a lie - he has made it passionately clear that he is sorry and torn that he's caused me this much pain, and that he is going to find a way to "fix" it. Even people close to me seem to give off this vibe that I'm just setting myself up for disappointment again by allowing him to try and fix it.

I know I love him, and I don't know why other than that reason why I'm giving him a chance. We've been together almost a year, but I felt like this one was different. He's been through alot in the last two years, and has been "growing up" fast, maybe not at the same rate in all areas of his life.

He says he sorry, he loves me, and that even if I leave him he's going to find a way to make me fall in love again. I'd just love some inspiration.

I know a couple that thrived after the woman got carried away and made out with someone else at a bar. They have been married for years, are very happy and have a sweet baby.

I am hoping my story will have a happy ending like this as well.

I think people deserve second and maybe even third chances. Then....
